Drawing I
  
       
      Drawing I introduces students to drawing from observation. The course begins with contour line
drawing, blind drawing, and gesture drawing. Students focus on shape, proportion, scale, and
composition. Then students move on to using charcoal and creating drawings with a wide range
of values. The assignments become more complex as the semester unfolds.
